Straw marquetry, also known as marqueterie de paille, is a centuries-old art. The black and gold stripes wrapping around this vase play up the tonal variances of the straw while also accentuating the modern silhouette. The black lacquered finish of the neck and base adds a subtle textural contrast. Crafted in Italy exclusively for us, the vase has a glass insert to ensure that it is watertight.
